A message from theĀ author

Hi, there. Thanks for checking out the Try Your Own Case website. Iām excited aboutĀ this book release, and I plan to do much more for those representing themselves, and anyone else interested in understanding how the litigation process works, whether they be lawyers, law students, clients, or others.
The core of this endeavor is theĀ Try Your Own Case book. I'm excited about its ability to help people navigate the legal system. It takes you from investigation through pleadings, discovery motions to dismiss and for summary judgment, pretrial, and trial. It also includes many legal concepts such as statutes of limitation, legal research, and prisoner litigation. It's written in a way anyone can understand.Ā
The book also contains a comprehensive legal glossary and a 112-page appendix with sample pleadings, forms, and templates.Ā (You can also find those on the site.)Ā
My goal is to make this website a hub for learning about the litigation process. Right now, you can not only purchase the book, but you can also take advantage of a variety of free resources on the site, includingĀ sample pleadings, forms, and templates you can download in both Word and PDF format.
The parties and law firms in these documents are fictitious, so don't get any fancy ideas about contacting them.Ā
The site also includes a comprehensive database of pro se assistance programs for every single state as well as the federal court system. Weāre very proud of these resources, and very proud of the book. I hope it has a real impact on the ability of people to navigate the court system effectively, and to vindicate their rights in court.
In the near future, I plan to introduce an online course for people to learn even more about specific aspects of litigation. We are still working out those details, but Iām very excited about all of this, and I look forward to continuing to enrich this website and help to educate people about the judicial and legal systems. If you have any questions or suggestions about specific content you would like to see, please contact us using the form on this website.
I encourage you to sign up on the homepage to receive updates and special offers. If you sign up now, you will receive a complimentary copy of the Try Your Own Case Introduction.Ā Ā
Thank you.
